Inspection Comments | INVESTIGATED COMPLAINT DURING A ROUTINE INSPECTION. THE COMPLAINANT WAS STATING THAT FOOD IS LEFT ON THE FLOOR TO THAW OUT FOR HOURS AND THEN WASHED OFF AT THE END SO IT DOES NOT SMELL FUNNY. ALSO HE STATED THAT THEY DO THIS PRIOR TO THE TIME THEY KNOW THE INSPECTOR SHOWS WHICH SEEMED WEIRD SINCE THE INSPECTOR SHOWS UP RANDOMLY. INTERVIEWED THE COOK ABOUT HIS THAWING PRACTICES AND EVERYTHING SOUNDED CORRECTLY. HE DID MENTION THAT OCCASIONALLY THE FOOD ITEM MAY SIT OUT FOR A LITTLE WHILE AS HE GATHERS THE OTHER ITEMS FOR PREP BUT HE SAID ITS NEVER LEFT UNATTENDED MORE THEN A FEW MINUTES AND THIS IS ALL DURING HIS FOOD PREP. SOME FOOD ITEMS IN BUCKETS DO SIT ON THE FLOOR WHILE THE EMPLOYEES WORK WITH IT BUT FROM MY OBSERVATION WAS NOT HANDLED IN ANY WAY THAT GOES AGAINST CODE. CALLED AND WENT OVER FINDINGS WITH COMPLAINANT. |
